Because it can strictly control temperature and alloy composition, has electromagnetic stirring and strong high vacuum degassing ability, it is widely used in metallurgical plants and relevant scientific research departments as an effective equipment for melting and casting nickel-based, iron-based, high-grade precision alloys and high-purity metals under high vacuum or inert gas. If graphite crucible or graphite mixed with refractory clay crucible is selected, low resistance metals and their alloys, such as gold, silver, copper, aluminum, bronze, can be melted by indirect heating method.

Working principle of vacuum medium frequency induction melting furnace

The vacuum induction furnace is a vacuum melting equipment that uses the medium frequency electromagnetic induction heating principle to heat. There is a spiral tubular coil inside the furnace body. When the coil is energized with medium frequency current, it will generate alternating magnetic field. Under the effect of the magnetic field, the metal charge will induce electric potential and generate ring current. This current will concentrate on the outer layer of the metal charge under the effect of its own magnetic field (the so-called skin effect), The outer metal charge has a high current density, resulting in a concentrated and strong thermal effect, so that the metal charge is heated or melted.
